EPFO is one of the Worlds largest Social Security Organisations in terms of clientele and the volume of financial transactions undertaken.
Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) invites On-Line Applications for Recruitment to the post of Social Security Assistant.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR EPFO SSA : 

A)  Nationality / Citizenship :
A candidate must be either :
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India,
or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. 

B) Educational Qualification FOR EPFO SSA :
Essential :
i.Degree of a recognized university or equivalent as on the closing date for online registration of application.
ii. A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500 Key Depression per Hour (KDPH) / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word for Data Entry Work. Time allowed - ten minutes. 

C) Age : Between 18 to 27 years as on Closing Date of Online Application form with Age relaxation as applicable.

CANDIDATES WAITING FOR FINAL RESULTS OF PRESCRIBED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION SHOULD NOT APPLY.

SCALE OF PAY FOR EPFO SSA :  Level-5 (Rs.29, 200-92,300) in the Pay Matrix.  

Stages of Examination :-

Stage- I : Computer Based Examination (Phase-I)

Stage II : Computer Typing Test (Phase-II) (Computer Data

Entry Test

Phase I - Stage- I : Computer Based Examination (Phase-I) contains following Tests :

1. General Aptitude

2. General Knowledge/ General Awareness

3. Quantitative Ability

4. General English with *Comprehension

5. Computer Literacy

Phase II - Computer Typing Test (Computer Data Entry Test) 

Candidates will be required to appear for the Skill Test to assess speed and accuracy for Data Entry Work. A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word for Data Entry Work. Candidates short-listed for Skill Test will have to appear for a Skill Test  

HOW TO APPLY : Candidates can apply online upto 27th March, 2023 to 26th April,2023 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Candidates have to apply “ONLINE” only for the post of Social Security Assistant (SSA) by accessing the website: https://recruitment.nta.nic.in OR EPFO website www.epfindia.gov.in

The Applications other than online mode will not be accepted in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. Multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate shall be rejected

EXAMINATION FEE : SC/ST/PwBD/ Female Candidates/Ex-Service men :- Rs. Nil/- (The fees shall be refunded duly deducting Bank Charges as applicable, on appearing of the candidate in the Phase-I Examination for SC/ST/PwBD/ Female Candidates & Ex Servicemen only)
All other categories Rs.700/-  

Any tax/Bank Transaction Charges will be borne by the candidate.  

MODE OF PAYMENT (ONLINE MODE) : -
a.The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions.
b.The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit  Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

CENTRE OF EXAMINATION : While applying online application, candidate must select the centre in the application form in which she/he desires to take the exam.
The examination will be conducted online in  venues given in the respective call letters.
No request for change of centre/venue/date/session for Examination shall be entertained.
